BANG POW BIFF BASH BOSH…!!! There’s no pussyfooting going on here… Armoured Flu Unit haven’t laid down the gauntlet, they’ve smashed it into smithereens. It’s a GBH of the senses as Carnyx knocks you senseless.The very second the opening track, Inertia kicks in you know you’re in for one helluva ride. This isn’t 1-2-3-4 punk by numbers, this is thought-out thinking man’s (sorry, person’s) punk rock. Built to thrill and used to kill (fascists), AFU unrelentingly grind their gears and their subhumanic machine will not stop. 
Welcome shades of Conflict at their ungovernable best come to the fore on the tracks Thorn In The Claw, Charged Up and the very excellent AI (actually, every single one of the ten tracks is very excellent).

Top marks to Tim Greaves at Southsea Sound who engineered and mixed this album – where a lot of bands go for a big guitar sound and lose the power of the drums, Carnyx is balanced to perfection with the result being a brutal sonic assault on your speakers / headphones / senses.
And I love Hostile Environment, with its semi-reggae bass hook and… actually, scrap that… I FUCKING LOVE THIS WHOLE ALBUM

The closing title track Carnyx hits you with its massive wall of sound. It’s an incredibly furious force that takes no prisoners, leaving you in no doubt that these guys are not just angry, they’re raging and it’s channeled at everything wrong with this shit world.
