But under the weight of a collapsing sky, ‘Μαύρη Τρύπα (Black Hole)’, Hekàtē’s second album, resonates. Like a reverse countdown, a scream that refuses silence. Only fragments of a world on its knees remain. How did we get here?

Each word on Hekàtē’s new album sounds like a verdict. ‘Μαύρη Τρύπα (Black Hole)’ is an autopsy of the present, an incantation against oblivion.

We live in a black hole that sucks everything in: memory, revolt, humanity. In this nothingness, there are voices that we try to stifle, certainly, but they are alive. And if the world collapses, they will sing on its ashes: “Come to Greece we sell it all! Cops! Macho men! Racism! Greek salad!”

Five years after their first album, released by La Vida es un Mus, what a pleasure to welcome a new, even more punk and furious album from Hekàtē.
