FLASHPOINT is a NWOTHM project based out of Dublin, Ireland, drawing influence from various heavy metal bands such as Mercyful Fate, Spellcaster and Iron Maiden to name just a few, but with an aim to retain a harder crossover/punk edge to the music.
With members all previously playing in Irish hardcore bands such as Hollow Truth, Held Back, Last Wishesand Solar Messiah, there was a conscious decision to pursue a more traditional heavy metal sound with this project. They aim to hit the ground running with the debut release, “Swing At The King”, and dive head first into the gigging and touring circuit around Europe.
Teaming up with Ireland’s Distro-y Records and Powertrip Records out of Germany, the debut offering with be released in the near future on cassette tape with some alternate artwork and merch bundles. To back up this release there is plans to do a run of shows in the UK as well as a European tour for 2018.
