GGI Travel Info

Directions!!
The venue is at:
Conlans Pub, Booleigh Cross, Booleigh, Kildare, R51 AX71
By bike or walking / mobility device
If possible we encourage people to travel by bike / mobility device or to walk
You can either go the whole way by from your starting point or can take a train to Athy or Kildare town and cycle or walk from there. In 2010 a group walked and camped from Dublin over several days to the GGI fest in Wexford and had an amazing experience.
By public transport via Kildare town or Athy
Public transport will bring you to either Athy or Kildare by train or bus. From there you either need to get a lift from us, we hope to have cars giving lifts when we know there are people due in or by taking a taxi. We did this by taxi via both towns in July and taxis were between 15 and 20 euro for up to four people. We will post numbers here soon for our “festival hotline” to see if we can collect you or use google for taxis
By public transport from Dublin airport
From Dublin Airport take the Dublin coach 726 service to Kildare and again contact us for possible lifts or get a taxi.
By Car/ Van
By Car / Van the venue is easy to get to with most of the journey being on motorway.
Obviously google maps is your easiest navigation but in general:
From Cork / the South travel by the M8 to M7 then at junction 13, take the R415 exit to Kildare / Nurney
From Dublin. Belfast use the M50 to M7 to M9, take exit 2 from the M9 then take the R418 to the venue
From the South East take the M9 then R418, From Galway take the M6 then N52, from Ballina take the N26 to N5 To M6 then N52
By lift share / hitchhiking
Please use this page to offer / seek lifts if you are going to the festival with space or try to pass by the train station or bus stops in Athy or Kildare on the way in case someone is stuck
If hitching to the festival please follow your normal safety protocols
